AI is a big buzz word lately. Maybe you’re excited to read. Maybe your primed to roll your eyes if we get it wrong!

Here’s the the thing. It’s a tool, not a robot. It’s not going to replace your people. It’s not going to solve all your problems if you’re operating in the red.

It can remove a lot of redundant work from your team, free up mental energy, and increase efficiency. The trick is knowing when to use it so we created a couple of checklists for you:

Use AI When:

  • The task is repetitive or time consuming.
  • You need to analyze large amounts of data quickly
  • The work is low-risk and you have a human who can spot errors
  • You need brainstorming or help writing a first draft
  • You don’t need the communication to be deeply personal

Don’t use AI When:

  • The tasks needs trust or relationship building.
  • A wrong decision will have legal, financial, or ethical consequence.
  • You need 100% original, creative or confidential material.
  • A task involves private customer data.
  • If someone found out you were using AI, you’d be embarrassed.

You heard it here first, Don’t use AI to write a sympathy card. Be genuine. You don’t need to sound smarter, you need to be human!

Keeping the Human Touch is so important so at the end of the day, our rule of thumb at Construction Marketing Online is never produce anything that is 100% AI.
