For owners of home services companies, showing up online is critical to your business growth. Here are nine effective strategies you can implement to attract and engage homeowners:
1. Create a Free Google My Business Profile
A Google My Business (GMB) profile is an underused, totally free tool for Businesses to show up locally in their service area. Flush out your profile with accurate business hours, photos and your business contact info to generate free phone calls and clicks to your website.
2. Utilize Local Service Ads on Google
Local Service Ads are a great too to generate phone calls if you’ve got someone ready to answer the phone! There are limitations on the scale but we always encourage companies to max out Local Search ads before expanding into other channels.
3. Expand Your Reach Even Further with Google Search Ads
Google Search Ads to target specific search terms generating leads that are ready to buy your service now! Though Search ads are often slightly more expensive than Local Service ads or Facebook ads, the conversion rate to sale is usually significantly higher so businesses get a great return on their investment.
4. Tell your story with Social Media Ads
Social Media is a great place to show who you are and showcase a portfolio of your best work! Stop the scroll and generate interest from people who aren’t actively searching for your service by showing up in your customers daily feed.
5. Update your Social Media Platforms
Most buyers visit your companies Social Media before purchasing. Is your Social Media updated and does it reflect who you are and how you do business? Consider updating your Social Media regularly as it is an extension of your website and review profiles.
6. Offer Free Resources and Guides
One common objection is home owners not knowing where to start on home renovations or home services. Free guides, checklists or resources are an easy way to give and guide your future customers in the process.
7. Implement Email Marketing Campaigns
Stay in touch with your past customers and generate new customers through personalized email campaigns! Email is a severely underutilized channel and a great way to get ahead of the competition.
8. Ask for Online Reviews
Your work can’t speak for itself. Asking for reviews from happy customers is a great way to secure future customers for your business.
9. Optimize Your Website for Lead Generation
Can your customers easily reach you via your website? Pretend you are searching for your service and click through all of your buttons to make sure there are no broken links and no instructions that are hard to follow.
